Day One

This is my first blog entry so I need to clarify a few things:

1) The name.  I wanted to call the blog "Diary of a Dork", but, if you can believe it, it was already taken!!  So, I just decided that the idea of a blog was not going to happen.  Then, a few days ago I decided to give it another go.  When I signed it it told me that I already had a blog called "Diary of a Dork".  That was a surprise.  But, when I looked at the address, it was "Diary of a Duck".  I liked it!

2) This blog in no way endorses the University of Oregon.

3) I'm setting a goal to not write everyday.  Why?  First, it's achievable.  Second, I have a job and don't need another.  Third, seriously, who wants to read what I have to say at all, let alone every day.

4) Why?  Good question.  I know I'm late to this blog thing and one more is like peeing in the ocean.  It may feel good, but it's really not going to change anything.  I'm just doing it because it seems fun.  It may only last a couple of weeks or it may go on for a while.  Who knows?  I'm going to just enjoy it while it lasts.
